In his article "Switching Perspectives: Reading Arendt's The Life of the Mind Anew," Wout Cornelissen reflects on how the new edition of Arendt's work is affecting its scope for interpretation. The article appears in the ninth issue of Arendt Studies, which understands the new volume as an essential resource for research: "The new critical edition meticulously reconstructs Arendt's unfinished intellectual process," according to editors Ari-Elmeri Hyvönen, Jennifer Gaffney, and James Barry. "This definitive scholarly edition provides new opportunities for exploring the many issues at play in the materials that Arendt prepared under the divisions of thinking and willing." Dr. Wout Cornelissen is Assistant Professor of Philosophy of Law at Radboud University in Nijmegen and co-editor of volume 14 of the Critical Edition, The Life of the Mind, published by Wallstein in 2024.
