News on the Editorial Team
Starting in June 2026, the team of the Critical Edition will be joined by Frank Fischer and Marc Altmann (Freie Universität Berlin) as members of the research group on "Data Interfaces for the Digital Humanities".

Frank Fischer is professor of Digital Humanities at Freie Universität Berlin, with research interests in Computational Literary Studies, Network Analysis, AI and the Humanities, Linked Open Data, and Research Infrastructure for Literary Studies. He has been a co-applicant for the Arendt Edition since the current third funding phase and heads the research group "Data Interfaces for the Digital Humanities," which, starting in 2026, will focus on providing access to the edition’s research data and its analytical potential.
Marc Altmann is a research software engineer and full-stack web developer. At Freie Universität Berlin, he is involved in various digital humanities projects, including initiatives for the transcription and annotation of video interviews, data visualization, and the implementation of XML interfaces. He is strengthening the Critical Edition in the area of data interfaces to make the edition’s data even more comprehensively accessible to a research community who also reads and works digitally.
